Week 2 Lifestyle Habit: Drink Water

The Basics:

We are made up primarily of water, and many of our bodily functions use water, so it’s no surprise that getting enough of this essential substance is absolutely necessary for ultimate health, proper functioning of our bodies, and overall well being. If you’ve ever made an effort to drink more water in the past and succeeded, you likely experienced many benefits including clearer skin, better performance at the gym, and maybe even better bowel movements.

This is not a nutrition challenge because it is so fundamental to living a good, healthy life. Drinking water should become a happy habit not a burden throughout the day. 


What is your lifestyle challenge?

Men, you will earn a point for this lifestyle habit if you drink a minimum of 110 oz of water each day. Women, you will earn a point for this lifestyle habit if you drink a minimum of 90 oz of water each day.

Strategies for Making it Happen:

  1. Have a water bottle with you everywhere you go.
  2. Set reminders for yourself at different time intervals throughout the day.
  3. Add flavor to your water… squeeze some lemon into it, chop up some ginger and toss it in, steep some tea…
  4. Commit to drinking a glass of water with every meal.
